- What is Launchglot?
- Launchglot is an AI localization tool for mobile apps. It translates in-app strings and localizes App Store and Google Play listings from one shared app description and glossary.
- Which file formats are supported?
- Android strings.xml, iOS .strings, Xcode String Catalogs (.xcstrings) and JSON (flat or nested). Translations are exported back in the original format.
- Will AI translation break my placeholders or plurals?
- Placeholders such as %s, %1$@ and {name}, HTML tags and plural forms are protected and validated. Failures are flagged for review instead of being exported silently.
- Can it localize my App Store and Google Play listing?
- Yes. It localizes the name or title, subtitle, short and full description, keywords, promotional text and release notes for each market, with live character and UTF-8 byte limits. Direct publishing to the stores is coming soon; until then, copy your localized listings into App Store Connect or Google Play Console.
- What is the difference between Translate and ASO optimize?
- Translate (the default) keeps store copy close to the source in meaning and length and adds nothing new. ASO optimize, which you turn on yourself, may add local keywords and selling points up to each field's limit. Both follow store limits and policies, and neither invents features or numbers. Release notes are always translated without expansion.
- How is usage counted?
- Usage is source characters × number of target languages. Monthly quotas reset each billing month and do not roll over. Top-up packs ($9 for 500,000 characters, $29 for 2,000,000 characters) are used after your monthly quota and stay valid for 12 months.
- Is there a free plan?
- Yes. The Free plan includes 1 app, up to 2 target languages per app and 20,000 characters per month. No credit card is required.
- How much do paid plans cost?
- Indie is $19/month (3 apps, unlimited languages, 500,000 characters per month). Pro is $49/month (10 apps, unlimited languages, 2,000,000 characters per month). Annual billing saves 20%. Prices are in USD; taxes may be added at checkout.
- Is there a free trial or a refund?
- Paid plans have no trial; use the Free plan to try Launchglot. If it is your first subscription purchase (Indie or Pro, monthly or annual), you can request a full refund within 14 days of payment. - Which languages can I translate into?
- English, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Arabic, Turkish, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Thai, Hindi, Polish and Dutch. Any of these can also be your source language.
